This recipe is straight out of AltShift.  It’s a favorite in our home and a huge hit among AltShifters.  I hope you love it, too.

Lasagna Chili

Prep time: 15 minutes       Cook Time: 30 minutes

1 1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb italian sausage
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1 cup yellow bell pepper chopped 1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup chopped zucchini
1/2 tsp celery salt
1 cup full fat cottage cheese
1 25 oz jar of marinara sauce

1. In a large soup pot on medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, sausage, and onions together.

2. When browned, add the bell pepper, mushrooms, zucchini and celery salt. Stir everything together and cook for a few minutes more to soften the newly added vegetables.

3. Turn the heat down and add the spaghetti sauce and cottage cheese.

4. Simmer until the cottage cheese is completely melted.
